ABOUT THE COURSE
A HOSPITAL CLEANER PLAYS A VITAL ROLE IN MAINTAINING A SAFE AND HYGIENIC ENVIRONMENT WITHIN HEALTHCARE FACILITIES TO SUPPORT PATIENT WELL-BEING AND EFFECTIVE MEDICAL OPERATIONS.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.

  • Disinfect surfaces, equipment, and high-touch areas to prevent infections.

  • Empty trash bins, replace liners, and dispose of waste properly.

  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness of floors.

  • Restock supplies, such as hand sanitizers, soap, and paper towels.

  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards.

  • Collaborate with other staff to address cleanliness needs in a timely manner.

  • Report maintenance issues or damage to appropriate personnel.

  • Follow proper handling and disposal procedures for hazardous materials.

  • Adhere to hospital policies and maintain confidentiality.



QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping, especially in healthcare settings, is a plus.

  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a sterile environment.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

  • Physical stamina for extended periods of standing, bending, and lifting.

  • Good communication skills for interacting with patients and staff.

  • Awareness of infection control practices and safety guidelines.
