ABOUT THE COURSE
A HOSPITAL CLEANER PLAYS A VITAL ROLE IN MAINTAINING A SAFE AND HYGIENIC ENVIRONMENT WITHIN HEALTHCARE FACILITIES TO SUPPORT PATIENT WELL-BEING AND EFFECTIVE MEDICAL OPERATIONS.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
Disinfect surfaces, equipment, and high-touch areas to prevent infections.
Empty trash bins, replace liners, and dispose of waste properly.
Vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness of floors.
Restock supplies, such as hand sanitizers, soap, and paper towels.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards.
Collaborate with other staff to address cleanliness needs in a timely manner.
Report maintenance issues or damage to appropriate personnel.
Follow proper handling and disposal procedures for hazardous materials.
Adhere to hospital policies and maintain confidentiality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping, especially in healthcare settings, is a plus.
Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a sterile environment.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Physical stamina for extended periods of standing, bending, and lifting.
Good communication skills for interacting with patients and staff.
